An original trilogy Kenny dome (darker blue) is compared next to a fan made dome (said to be fiberglass from Elstree studio mold) and was repainted for EP1 The Phantom Menace in the dark blue. Chipped paintwork on the Kenny dome reveals the original pre EP1 'pepsi blue' colour underneath. The dome is painted silver with clear laquer although it is made of aluminum. these images were taken January of 2002. It disappeared after Episode 1 production had ended and presumed stolen. It made its rounds to various sources and is currently at large.
